Systematic Cleaning
There are many things that need to be done around the house on a seasonal basis, and it might get overwhelming sometimes thinking about all of it. This checklist breaks down tasks into specific areas to help bring a more organized approach to your spring clean up.

Comprehensive List
This spring cleaning checklist contains a fairly comprehensive set of tasks. It lists some of the less urgent items, like cleaning window tracks, but it also includes some very important reminders such as replacing the air filters in your furnace. You can also customize the template for your particular home and use it year after year.

Description

This spring cleaning checklist can be a great tool for staying organized and keeping your space clean. It contains tasks that are less frequent than the House Cleaning Checklist items, but still necessary to keep your house clean and all of your appliances running smoothly. It breaks down items into areas of the house, such as the kitchen, bedrooms, family/living rooms, bathrooms, and other areas. The idea of spring cleaning is to get to those hidden areas that don't get cleaned or upkept as frequently. This list helps remind you of some of those areas.

Spring Cleaning Tips

  • Set Goals - Create a schedule or daily goals. You will most likely not be able to get everything done in one day, so set some realistic goals for what you want to accomplish each day.
  • Declutter - One of the first steps of cleaning any space is to declutter. Are there items that you don't use anymore? Consider donating or recycling items that you do not want or need.
  • Reorganize - As you are going through your tasks, take the opportunity to reorganize. Perhaps there are better or easier ways to organize your drawers, kitchen shelves, your storage, etc. Consider labeling if you do not already.
  • Air Out - Don't forget to let the fresh air in! Open your windows to help air out your space and furniture, and improve air quality.
