- Select the cell you want to comment
- Click on the Inesrt menu >Comment
- Type your comment
- Press Enter
Bug: Your comment will be displayed in the selected cell, not in the comment cloud.

Yes, this is a bug. The problem is that when you insert a comment, the comment field will be displayed with a blinking cursor, but actually it has no focus and therefore when you start writing, it will edit a cell and not the comment field. You could click the comment field before you start writing and it should get a focus. This should allow you to write a comment.
